Two life long ghost enthusiasts founded PEPPR in May 2005. They have conducted several investigations over the years including Bachelor's Grove Cemetery in Illinois, a few hotels in New Orleans, Gettysburg battlefield, and several private homes with reports of activity. Personal experiences combined with investigation experiences left them thinking that strange things DO happen to normal people. Since the expansion of PEPPR there has been more work done, more investigations, experiments are being done, and more questions are being asked. With every question that gets an answer, each experiment completed and investigation conducted PEPPR gets one step closer to understanding ghosts.

All members of our group are first and foremost investigators and interviewers but each member has a secondary duty to which they are suited. The members' duties are placed into sections such as medical personnel, operations, research & intelligence, and sensors & communications. Each section works together so team leaders can draw from the best information and skills available to us.

PEPPR has bylaws that mandate things like safety and equality. PEPPR requires a drug-free environment and advocates complete honesty between all members. From the bylaws come policies that define a standard method. While we are always striving to perfect our methods we only require best efforts from our members and not perfection.

Our investigations and methods adhere to the scientific method and the finding, that are documented, resemble lab reports rather than narrative records. Many groups attempt to validate others' claims of activity by trying to capture "evidence" of a haunting while others go on a "ghost hunt" similar to those who go on a witch hunt. Our group wants to do more than seek out activity to verify or nullify claims. PEPPR endeavors to offer more than has previously been offered to prove to the scientific community that ghosts do, in fact, exist. Our methods are systematic and all members are required to learn about the equipment used and the nature of what the equipment senses before ever going out on an investigation.

On this premise, PEPPR's mission is three-fold:

1. The search for indisputable scientific proof of the existence of ghosts.

2. An incontrovertible and reproducible method of detecting them.

3. A comprehensive explanation for how they exist and the nature of their composition.

As a result of these goals and our investigations, we help some people feel more informed about what is happening around them but we do not have the capability to run ghosts out of town for them. Occasionally the cause for the haunting can be uncovered and corrected There are times when an ordained priest will be the only one to have any influence, this is outside of the realm of PEPPR. In the future when the mission of PEPPR has been fulfilled, whatever year that may be, there may be enough understanding to do more. Until then, there are too many questions that need answers.
